BFS #107 – When There’s No Tomorrow

Posted in Family, Fun, and Thoughts

Assignment: We only have today. Should God take you today, have you accomplished everything that you wanted to, needed to. Have you said all the things that needed to be said? Let’s have no regrets, let’s make sure we get to those things, so that when we’re standing before the Lord, the only thing we need to do is to worship him.. and not regret not getting to that thing on our to do list. Stop – go take care of that thing…. then, come tell us what you choose to share. Don’t embarrass yourself or any of your loved ones.

One thing that we really learned over this past year and a half while D was gone was to not take things for granted and remember that each day is precious.

D lived in a place where simple things such as a shower, bed, bathroom were not a given. He came home ever so grateful for a hot shower, a comfortable bed, and a hot meal.

There are no guarantees in this life. What we have today may not be here for us to enjoy tomorrow. We may not have days, weeks, and years to teach our children about God. We may not have days, weeks, years to show our love for family and friends.

It is important that we cherish the time that we have with each other. We must use every moment we have as a teachable moment. We must live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God each and every day.

This “little” girl is our future. God has blessed us with the responsibility to bring her up to know and love Him. We pray that we will look back once she is grown and know that we did our best. We pray that she will grow in her faith and understanding of our Lord.

This man is also my future. God has blessed me with a loving husband. I pray that I am able to be the wife that God wants me to be. I pray that I honor him each day with my actions and words.
