Busy Week

Posted in Family, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

We have a busy week ahead of us. We’re starting to work on preparations for D’s return home. It’s nice to finally be at the point where we can start a countdown and work on little surprises! I’m working on getting the house in order. Munchkin has some projects of her own that she’s working on to surprise Daddy.

We tried to get Munchkin’s eyes checked today at the eye doctor, but they couldn’t verify our military insurance as it was a federal holiday. The plan is to head back out on Tuesday to try to get that taken care of sooner rather than later.

Munchkin is working on learning the first half of the books of the Old Testament for Awana this week. She learned the New Testament books a couple of weeks ago, so we continue to review those as well. On Wednesday, the Awana clubs are starting their canned food drive, so we’ll need to pick up some groceries.

We’re continuing on with our study of ice cream this week. On Thursday, we’re heading over to Cold Stone Creamery for a yummy field trip. After that, we’re heading over to the pumpkin patch for another field trip. Both of these field trips will be with our local homeschooling group.

Friday, we have to get up early to head over to my doctor’s appointment. I’m sure we’ll come home and crash for a little while after that as we’re not use to getting up so early. In the afternoon, we’ll head over to Munchkin’s soccer practice.

Saturday, we’ll once again head over to the soccer field. We have team pictures this week prior to the game.

Oo – how exciting to be counting down!!

That does sound like a busy week. Punkin did the books last year, though I need to do it again as she has forgotten some of it. We had a song that helped – if you want more info let me know.

    Have a great week!
