Our laundry goes into a laundry sorter. Munchkin has a laundry bag in her room that she separates into the sorter on laundry day. The main laundry sorter is in our bedroom. I do not wash by hand unless absolutely necessary. We do not hang our clothes on a clothesline nor do we make our own laundry soap. We do laundry as needed. As soon as there is a full load, I’ll do the laundry. Our laundry room is inside next to the garage. It’s small, so you can’t do anything but take the laundry in and out of the washer/dryer.
Part B – Do you have an area in your life that you know that the Lord is tugging at some heart strings that needs to be cleaned up? Have a testimony of your past struggle(s) that might help another homeschooling mom? Share a piece of your heart (dirty laundry) that you are seeking a good washing or how it got cleaned up. Sharing with one another is a great way to have your post feel human and real.
I thought long and hard about this question as I wasn’t sure what I wanted to write about. I think the thing that the Lord is working on with me right now is envy. It’s not about material possessions, but about having my husband around. It’s hard to watch other kids playing with their dads when you know that your child is unable to do that. It’s equally hard to see families take for granted the time that they have together. I grow weary quickly of wives who are constantly complaining about their spouses and trying to spend time away from them.
The Lord is always reminding me that I have to stop thinking on what we don’t have and focus on what we do have. We have a great family that shares wonderful communication. We’re very close and enjoy our time together.
