I’ve been tagged for the 5 Things I Love About Jesus meme by Angel Mama at Pearls of Wisdom and Alycia at Where My Treasures Are.
Here are the Rules:
1. Those Tagged will share 5 things they love (dig) about Jesus.
2. Those tagged will tag 5 other bloggers.
3. Those tagged will provide a link in the comments section here of their meme so that others can read them and here the creator of this meme John Smulo.
My Responses:
1. I love Jesus because of His unconditional love. He loves me no matter what’s going on in my life or where I am at in my spiritual walk with Him.
2. I love Jesus because of the beautiful peace that He gives me throughout my life. No matter what life throws out my way, I know that I can have peace if I turn to Him.
3. I love Jesus because of the strength that He daily provides. I could not be the person that I am today without His strength.
4. I love Jesus because He made the ultimate sacrifice of dying for my sins. Because of Him, I am truly free and will be in heaven one day.
5. I love Jesus because of the mercy and forgiveness that He shows me. He knows that I don’t always deserve the forgiveness that He gives, but He gives it anyway. He forgives me time and time again when I fall.

While I would love to see your responses, please do not feel that you must post. I tried to pick people that I didn’t think had already been picked.
I don’t normally do tags on my blog so I will answer your meme here! 🙂
Your answers are exactly how I feel so there is no need to write those, so I am gonna take the meme from a different angle.
Here are five things that I think we as Christians are gifted, that unbelievers miss out on.
1)An instruction manuel. The Bible tells us all we need to know…and if we have questions about something, we can usually find it.
2) A support system. It is easy to love someone when they do everything right, but when people fail MISERABLY, it can be more difficult. God has given us, through Him, the ULTIMATE encouragement and love through our shortcomings. He picks us up when we fall and pushes us to do better.
3)Promise of the Future. We, as believers, look with great anticipation to the future. Most unbelievers DREAD the thought of growing old, or worse, and so, try with all their might to stay young forever. Not so, with the children of God.
4)His Omniscience. I really like to know EVERYTHING that is going on-but obviously I can’t. It is a GREAT comfort for me, to know that SOMEONE does. Not only does He KNOW what is going on, but has PLANNED it that way.
5)the gift of Open Eyes. I see God opening the eyes of His children to the beauty of His creation, to the intricacies of life, and to the greatness of Him. And it is good.

You know, His forgiveness is sometimes mind-boggling (is that the right word?) to me. I so agree with you on His strength and peace. I don’t know what I would do without it.
I love what you love about Jesus 🙂 and thank you for the tag, Heather…
Blessings to you and yours.
