Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

No matter what life seems to throw at us, I am ever thankful that I know that the Lord cares about even the little things in our lives. In the grand scale of things, the truth is that most things are little things. We know that someone has always gone through the same struggle that we are facing. We know that the Lord will take care of us. It may or may not be our preferred method of care, but He is there none the less. I am thankful for those who have forged the path ahead of us – given us solid examples of how we should respond, how we should live our lives. I am thankful for Biblical guidance, warnings, and comfort.
The Lord is greater than he that is in the world. He can and will conquer him….
