Wise Alec: Nature Nuts Game

Griddly Games, the makers of the Wise Alec trivia board game, have created expansion packs that double as stand alone travel games: Nature Nuts, Civilize This, and Sports Buff.  Each expansion pack features 3 decks of cards, 1 deck of Wise Alec cards, and a die.  The game itself comes in a nice storage container which features a magnetic closure, organizational storage areas for each deck of cards as well as the die, a plastic cover to keep all the cards and die in place, and instructions printed directly on the container.  What this means is that you will not…

Let’s Go Ride a Bike

Project 365 – #246 Before D’s surgery, we purchased a bike trainer for him to be able to use for fitness after his surgery.  He used it until he was able to ride outside.  We won’t go into the fact that shortly after he started riding outside he took a nasty spill.  Thankfully, it didn’t injure his back.  His doctor cleared him to ride, and he needs to work to get back in shape.  Riding is one of the things he uses as part of his fitness routine. Encouraging My Daughter

Coffee or Tea Anyone?

Project 365 – #244 Our neighbors have a Keurig which D thought was pretty nice, but he never thought it would be a good fit for him.  Then, when my Dad and stepmom starting giving rave reviews for their Keurig, he started thinking about it, a little.  His major hang up is that he drinks a good bit of coffee.  He makes a large pot in the morning and takes most of it to work with him.  He didn’t think the Keurig would fit with his normal routine.  When we were on vacation, my Dad talked about how he actually…
