Crunchy N Yummy Giveaway

Posted in Gluten Free, and Reviews

Cruncy n Yummy logo

Can I let you in on a little secret?  I really like crunchy snacks.  There is just something satisfying about crunching on a yummy treat when I’m hungry.  Unfortunately, all too many crunchy snacks aren’t that good for me, so I either have to sacrifice flavor or crunchy snacking.  (Obviously, there are some good healthy, crunchy snacks such as apples and carrots which are regular snacks around our house.)

When I was asked if I would like to try out Crunchy N Yummy snacks, I jumped at the opportunity.  After all, they were certified organic, freeze-dried fruit!  These snacks sounded delicious.  I like dehydrated fruit, but I often miss the crunch as most dehydrated fruit tends to be on the chewy side.  Plus, many store bought dehydrated snacks have extra stuff added as a preservative.  Crunchy N Yummy snacks are just pure, freeze-dried organic fruit.  (Since they are pure fruit, they are naturally gluten free.)

Mango

We received a sample of each of the fruit snacks: banana, mango, pineapple, strawberry, and papaya.  The first snack I dug into tasted was the mango.  Mmmm…..  The crisp texture paired with the full mango flavor was excellent.  I decided to take some out to the girls to try out.  (They were jumping on the trampoline.)  Munchkin tasted a piece.  “Yum!”  Then her friend took a piece to try.  “I usually don’t like mango, but these are delicious!”  Next thing I know, I’m handing over the fruit for the girls to eat as a snack.  (I did save a few pieces for D to try which he really enjoyed.)

Papaya

The next flavor to try out was the papaya.  To be fair, I’m not big on papaya, so this wasn’t a huge it for me personally.  The texture was good, and it tasted just like papaya.  D offered to take this off my hands and take it to work for a snack.  **grin**

Pineapple

Pineapple – mmm… – yummy pineapple.  Crisp, sweet pineapple.  Yep, pineapple was my favorite hands down.  I was bummed that I had to share.  **sigh**  Even Munchkin, who isn’t very fond of pineapple thought these were pretty good.

Strawberry

The strawberry reminded us of the freeze-dried strawberries that you would get in cereal – only better.  The pieces were bigger and the flavor was true to a delicious, ripe strawberry.  Of course Munchkin decided that you couldn’t have just strawberry, you had to pair it with banana to make…

Banana

Strawberry – Banana.  **grin**  The bananas were not what I was expecting.  I’m so use to eating banana chips, that I didn’t expect the light, airy crisp of these banana snacks.  Once again, because these snacks are pure fruit, the banana flavor was spot on.

Whether you want to eat these as a snack right out of the bag (like I did) or you want to use them as a topping for cereal, yogurt, or ice cream, you are sure to be thrilled with the taste and quality of these organic, freeze-dried, 100% real fruit snacks.  Crunchy n Yummy snacks would be perfect for an on-the-go snack or for a case of the crunchy munchies.

And kids?  Well, they’ll enjoy the flavor, and they’ll probably like the idea that they’re eating astronaut food. **wink**

The Crunchy n Yummy snacks are available on Amazon as a snack pack containing the different varieties or as multi-packs containing a single fruit.
