Gluten Free Snacking with Peeled Snacks Giveaway

Peeled SnacksPeeled Snacks strive to include the highest quality organic and natural ingredients from sustainable farms in each of their snack products. Their snacks provide a great source of vitamins, minerals and a full serving of fruit with no added sugar. They have no trans fats, no hydrogenated oils and no artificial flavors or colors. They are also gluten, wheat, cholesterol and dairy free.

The great news is that they are not only healthy, but they also taste great. I was given the opportunity to sample the following individual serving fruit picks:

Cherry-go-round: These dried

cherries had a good balance of sweet and tart. They were plump, flavorful, and not tough.

pine-4-Pineapple: These dried pineapple rings had sweet flavor. Due to the natural fibers in pineapple, they were a little more tough to eat, but they were delicious. I could have eaten more than the 3 pieces in the bag. I was slightly disappointed that the quality of the rings was not consistent. They were all tasty, but some were definitely better than others.

Apple-2-the-core: These dried organic apple slices have a slightly tart flavor. They are chewy with a nice bite. You can taste a fresh picked apple flavor.

much-ado-about-Mango: There dried mango slices have a sweet flavor. They are chewy and similar in texture to a natural fruit leather.

Banan-a-peel: These chewy dried banana slices are not visually appealing. Their flavor seemed a little off to me. I have to admit that I prefer a crisp banana chip, so these just didn’t please my pallet.

Apricot-a-lot: These dried Apricots have a slightly sweet flavor. They are plump and not tough.

My favorite flavors were the Cherry-go-round, the pine-4-Pineapple, and the much-ado-about-Mango. The only flavor I didn’t care for was the Banan-a-peel. These will be great for an on-the-go, healthy snack.

Starbucks is now carrying Peeled Snacks as part of their new gluten free product line. Check here to see other places where Peeled Snacks are available locally.  You can also purchase Peeled Snacks online.
