We have used Typing Instructor for Kids when Munchkin was younger. When we upgraded to a newer computer, Munchkin’s program no longer worked. We decided to put a typing computer program on the back burner and just had Munchkin practice typing various words and sentences. While she did okay with this, she missed the fun that she had with Typing Instructor for Kids.
When Timberdoodle gave us the opportunity to review a Typing Instructor program, we chose to go with the Typing Instructor Deluxe 17 since Munchkin is getting a bit older. She was happy to have her program back in her homeschool routine.
Typing Instructor Deluxe Version 17 has over 20 different typing plans plus it allows you to make your own typing plan. There are 3 different travel plans including world travel, time travel, and world safari. Have fun with 10 different games such as Sea Creatures, Erik the Viking, and Wild West. Munchkin enjoys the games that go along with this program, but you are able to skip the games if that is what you prefer.
We had the program for 1 week (including several days off due to Thanksgiving and illness), so this review is based upon a short review period. You can see a more reviews of this program used as homeschool curriculum at Timberdoodle and at MamaBuzz.

Our children absolutely loved Typing Instructor Deluxe, and my daughter still uses it.
