Over the years, Veteran’s Day has meant different things to me. When I was younger, I didn’t completely understand the significance. Once D joined the Corps, my understanding started to significantly grow. His first deployment lead to a deeper understanding. During the next deployment, he was actually gone for Veteran’s Day.
