Thursday This and That

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

I woke up this morning with a slight headache, so I allowed Munchkin to watch a couple of shows on Animal Planet while I rested.  Munchkin then worked on her school work while I rested and listened to the Homeschool Expo sessions.  I had put on rice too cook in the rice cooker, so Munchkin had that for lunch. My headache, unfortunately, got worse during the day, so D ran home with some stronger headache medication for me.  I took that and rested some more.  Munchkin had fun telling me stories and watching some animal documentaries. I stuck a frozen…

Celebrating Our Anniversary…

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious…

Having Fun at the Ballgame

Munchkin had her second baseball game today.  It was another warm, sunny day as we headed to the field.  The idea was that I would just sit and watch the game.  It didn’t play out that way.  I ended up helping with the kids in the dugout, so I came home after the game and immediately elevated and iced my ankle. Munchkin’s team played well again this week. It really is fun watching them improve week to week.  You can see what they have worked on during the practices that week.  I was thrilled when they listened to their base…

Grand Canyon Adventure: Keyhole Loop Trail

Posted in Family

Another stop during our Grand Canyon Adventure was a little trail called Keyhole Loop Trail.  It’s located in Kaibob National Forest right outside of Williams, Arizona.  We stopped by to see the park ranger to see if he had any maps of the local trails.  He informed us that many of the trails were still closed due to slow, so we’d want to be careful while hiking.  He then went on to recommend the Keyhole Loop Trail because it had something special to see at the end of the trail…. We hiked and hiked over snow banks, through the mud,…

Wet Trampoline Fun and other happenings…

Posted in Family

As I stated before the temps are starting to creep up, so the kids are looking for ways to cool off.  On Friday, Munchkin and her friend decided that they wanted to put a sprinkler under the trampoline for a little fun.  The only problem was we realized that we left the sprinkler at our old house.  Hmmm…. we grabbed the hose with the sprayer.  Underneath the trampoline, we propped up the sprayer with 2 large rocks so it was spraying up onto the bottom of the trampoline.  It made for a fun, wet, slippery, crazy place for the girls…
