Polymer Gifts for Friends

Posted in Homemaking, and Photography

Project 365 – #055 For Valentine’s Day this year, Munchkin decided that she wanted to make something special for her friends.  Seeing how she was having so much fun with the polymer clay roses, she decided to keep with the polymer clay theme. She created some crazy creatures (notice the heart in it’s mouth) and these lovely heart necklaces.  I just adore her creativity. My favorite part is that she did this all on her own.  The only role I played in her creation was baking the clay pieces.  While I very much enjoy doing things with her, I’ve found…

Handcrafted Vase with Clay Roses

Posted in Homemaking, and Photography

Project 365 – #043 After receiving the delivery of roses yesterday (pictured above), Munchkin was inspired to create some roses of her own from polymer clay.  The first rose was a beautiful red rose, but since the stem couldn’t support the head of the rose, the rose kept falling off.  I recommended that she create a stem from a pencil and work from there.  After covering the pencil with green clay, she began to create a beautiful orange rose, but her new rose needed a vase. Handmade Heart Shelf

The free monthly project is just unfinished wood, so the child and parent can decide how they want to finish it.  I personally think it’s a…

Christmas Crafts: Silent Night and Joy Signs

Posted in Holidays, and Homemaking

We wanted some fun signs to put up around the house, but we didn’t want to send lots of money to buy or make them.  Using cardstock and our Cricut, we were able to create these simple signs. For the Silent Night sign, we just used red cardstock for the letters and embellishments and a cream cardstock for the base. For the Joy sign, a little more creativity and work was involved.  For this one, we used a metallic blue cardstock for the lettering.  We then took a piece of tan cardstock and attached the letters to it using a…
