For Bible this year, we’re going to be using the Keepers of the Faith Write Upon My Heart Character Curriculum as our spine. Since there are 18 books in the series, I asked Daddy to place them in the order in which he would like Munchkin to study them. Now I’m in the process of creating notebooking pages for each book in the series. (The books can be written in, but since I plan on adding more to the studies, I wanted to create notebooking pages for Munchkin to use. It will also create a nice keepsake for the future.)…

Our Current Penmanship Curriculum

Since Munchkin completed all 4 books in the Awana T&T curriculum, she will be working on the silver and gold sections in the Awana books this year.  To make things a bit easier for her, I created a workbook for the gold sections in all 4 books. Whenever possible, I like to incorporate Munchkin’s studies in one subject with her penmanship and reading.  For now, her penmanship will be based upon some requirements in her T&T books.  Each book has 4 questions that have 4 answers.  Each answer has at least 1 supporting verse.  For her penmanship, she will be…

Study of Joshua: Crossing the Jordan River

Right now, we’re studying the book of Joshua. This week, we’re studying about the crossing of the Jordan River. Once the people of Israel crossed the Jordan River, God instructed them to build a memorial. We decided to build our own memorial by writing the name of the 12 tribes of Israel on 12 different stones. Once Little Song Bird had written all of the names on the stones, she assembled her memorial and I hot glued the structure together. We were pleased with the end result.
