It’s been roughly 2 1/2 weeks since I suffered my high ankle sprain. I’m still on crutches and unable to put any weight on the ankle. It’s been a frustrating time, but I am making some progress. I’m able to bend my toes. Don’t laugh, but that was actually a really big deal for me. lol! Going off the pain meds means that I can now think clearly, but it also means that I’m in more pain. It’s made sleeping a bit more difficult. Finding a comfortable position is not always easy. I definitely tire out a lot quicker due…

Over the years, I’ve taught Munchkin basic kitchen skills including food safety, kitchen safety, cooking, and cleaning. At a young age, she learned how to follow a recipe to create a meal or make a dessert. They were skills that I knew would be important later in life, and they came in handy from time to time when I was ill or unable to prepare a meal. It was a way to try to keep light-hearted when we felt anything but light-hearted. We’ve all been through some sort…
The Good Last week, I was having a great week not only getting projects done around the house but also with my fitness program. I was back on my regular 21 Day Fix Fitness program routine, and I had added yoga to the mix in the evenings. The combination of the two left me feeling tired and sore, but my body really appreciated the yoga as it helped me stay more relaxed and flexible. I was sleeping better and had more energy. I was thrilled when I was able to help hubby more with his projects in the garage over…
