Letting Go of Perfection

Tonight, after I had tucked Munchkin into bed and had gotten ready for bed myself, our doorbell rang. I went to the door to see who was at our door at this time of night. It was our neighbor. I looked around our house; it was a bit messy as I’ve been focusing my energy on taking care of Munchkin. I sighed and opened the door. She needed some ice (her son had oral surgery and they didn’t have any more ice to make ice packs) and wanted to know if I had some to spare. Knowing that my house…

Sick Little Munchkin

I’ve been nursing a sick little girl all day. She’s been so ill today that she didn’t want any lights on, no t.v., and no mommy leaving her side. Which meant that she spent the day in bed with me, and I sat there in the dark with her. You would think that I would have been able to get some rest, but that didn’t happen. The Mosquito

I turned off my lights and closed my eyes to give into the sweet slumber I so dearly needed. I rested my head and pulled up the blanket to snuggle down for a good nights rest. Bzzzzzzz… Ugh! There was a horrible buzzing sound around my ear. I pulled the cover up over my head hoping that it would go away. I couldn’t stay under the covers forever, so I slowly pulled the cover down. Hmm… no buzzing. I start to drift off to sleep. Bzzzzzz… Ugh! There it is again. I turn on the light and try to locate…
