Campsite Bible Study

Project 365 – #212 The first week that we were out camping, we found ourselves alone at our campsite for our Sunday morning Bible study.  Even though the daytime temps were too hot to comfortably sit outside for extended periods of time, we were able to eat our breakfast and do our Bible study outside at the picnic table.  I’ve always enjoyed being out in nature while studying God’s word.  Since we are working our way through Genesis, it seemed rather fitting. As Munchkin and D finished their breakfast, I read the scripture passages that we were studying that day.…

Ocotilla Wells: Shell Reef

Project 365 – #206 A shell reef in the middle of the desert?  How could this be?  Hmmm… maybe the world was covered completely by water at some point??? Munchkin scurried up the hill. I decided to follow her up to try to grab a picture or two. D stayed with puppy at the bottom.  Whew!  That was quite the climb up, and the climb down was quite the adventure on such a hot day.

The End of the Road

Project 365 – #203 The end of our journey that started out in the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge brought us back to the Colorado River.  Here we found this little building near a zip line that crossed the river.  The cool breeze blowing off the water felt good as the sun began to set.  While we still needed to make our way back home, the peaceful water was a wonderful end to a crazy, but fun day of exploring.
