Thankful Thursday – Simplicity

SIMPLICITY… now there’s a word that you don’t hear too much anymore these days. Everything that we do seems to cost alot of money, alot of energy and alot of time… finish reading post here.

Over the last few years, we’ve been trying to simplify our lives.  I think it all began when we started homeschooling Munchkin.  The process has been interesting as we feel the Lord leading us away from the hustle and bustle around us and shifting our focus to our home.

I am thankful for the home that the Lord has given us.  While there are things that I am missing about our old house, I know that this is where the Lord wants us right now.  We feel blessed that we have a nice roof over our heads and wonderful air conditioning in this heat.

I am thankful for our family time.  I’m glad that D is great about gently nudging me when I get too caught up my time on the computer.  I’m glad that we have incorporated more games into our daily lives as this is a great way to spend time together as a family.  I feel blessed that we are able to explore God’s creation together as this is a good bonding time.
