Brush Fires & Dead Laptop

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

Our area was experiencing highly windy conditions today. Unfortunately, this lead to several brush fires in the area — including one right behind us. Thankfully, we have water between us and the land behind us. We won’t really be able to see the full damage until tomorrow. There are no houses in that immediate area.

There was also another large brush fire that lead to the closing of a major bridge in the area. We haven’t heard about the extent of the damage from that one. The major brush fire, several miles from us, continues to burn and they are evacuating people from the immediate area. If it hops the road, that neighborhood will be in trouble. Please pray that they’re able to get the fire under control before it gets to the neighborhood and does any more damage.

On a completely different note, my laptop died yet again, so it will be going to the “shop” tomorrow. Thankfully, it’s still under warranty. Unfortunately, it means that I’m without my laptop for at least 2 weeks, again…

All that said, we had a good weekend here. We enjoyed a relaxing, mellow weekend. We just spent time together and had fun.
