Fall Fun

Posted in Family, and Holidays

On Wednesday, we headed over to Trader Joes to pick up some goodies to send to D. When we arrived, we found out that they were having some fun activities for Halloween. First, Munchkin had to search for the treasure chest in the store to get a prize. It took some hunting, but she found it! Then, she had to pick out which jack-o-lantern she liked the best. (Each employee had carved a jack-o-lantern for the contest.) And last, but certainly not least, they supplied a pumpkin for Munchkin to paint. What a nice little distraction for the day…

Later that afternoon, Munchkin decided that she wanted to head over to the Trunk-or-Treat at a local church. Now, since we didn’t know if we’d be home for this, we really hadn’t planned a costume for her. While we were down in NC, I went to the thrift store and picked up a colonial costume for Munchkin thinking it would be great for Colonial Williamsburg. Plus, it was only 75 cents! Well, we decided to use that costume. I quickly made a cap for her to wear as well as a matching handbag.

Here are the results…
