Thankful Thursday: Praising God No Matter What

Posted in Family

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be though dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

Before D left on Sunday, we watched Facing the Giants. If you haven’t watched the movie, I highly recommend taking the time to view it. From the movie, we took away the saying that we’d praise God no matter what. This week, Munchkin and I reminded each other of this often.

I’m grateful that we’ve been able to talk to D this week each evening. Can I say that video chats are a wonderful invention? Though we didn’t video chat every day, we’ve been able to take advantage of it most evenings. (We’d it be nice if it could continue after he actually deploys….)

I’m grateful that overall Munchkin is doing well. Yes, she’s missing Daddy like crazy, but we’ve had a good week. We’ve had lots of fun activities this week that kept us busy.

I’m thankful for all the yummy blueberries and blackberries that we were able to pick on Wednesday. Picking berries really changed Munchkin’s attitude from “not so nice” to wonderful. It made the day wonderful and we really enjoyed the fresh berries for our snacks.

Once again, I’m thankful for all the wonderful support that I’ve received from the online community. It means a lot to all of us to know that there are so many people praying for us and supporting us. So, thank you!!!!

For more Thankful Thursday, head on over to our guest host, Laurel Wreath’s, place.

Lifting you and your hubby up in prayers. My sister in law is over in Iraq, it is not the same as having a husband gone. But I feel a bit of what you are going through.

    Have a great Thursdays.

PS instant messaging is great also, and THAT they can do once deployed ;))

I love video chats too ~ it has helped close the distance while here in Japan with family back home. I am lifting you and your family up in prayer while your husband is deployed. I like the new pictures you added to your sidebars too. Blessings to you!

    Wow, great list.

Lord, I pray protection over this family and household. Lord, I ask especially for an angel to travel with d during his deployment. Keep him safe and surrounded by the Holy Spirit.

I’ve been thinking about you lately and wondering how you are all doing.

Have you gone berry/peach picking yet? Oh-I would LOVE to go peach picking! 🙂
