Word Filled Wednesday: Two Shall Become One…

Posted in Christian Life, and Photography

“And He answered and said to them, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning, made them male and female’, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh.  Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate.'” ~ Matthew 19:4-6

This past Sunday, we finished up our Marriage Without Regrets Sunday school class.  D and I walked away feeling very grateful for our relationship and for each other.  This verse has always been a key verse for us.  Nothing else can come before our relationship other than the Lord.  I am thankful that the Lord gives us clear guidance on how to make our marriage successful.

Yes, it's the Kay Arthur book. We did the group study as a Sunday school class. Sadly, couples dropped out one-by-one, but we had a great core group. It was a good time of fellowship and growth.

What a blessing to have that "renewed" blessing…that IS what marriage should be. Sometimes in the "busy-ness" of life we forget the gift…:)

    peace! Happy New Year!

I so agree with this verse!! And so many people get married with the mind set that well if it doesn't work…DIVORCE!! And that is not the way it should be! I have tried to teach my children that this is the way it should be and I hope that they will abide by it when they meet that special person!! Have a great day and you are such a blessing to me!!
