Learning to Draw – Art Gallery 1

Posted in Homeschooling

I (Heather) am pleased to announce that I’ve added Munchkin as a contributor on the blog. The idea behind this is to highlight some of the things that she is working on and for her (when applicable) to work on her writing skills.

For Christmas, I (Munchkin) received another How to Draw book from my aunt. In the past, I would just look at the pictures and then recreate them. This time, I started to use the techniques shown in the books as I wanted to try to get good at drawing people and also work on animals. Since we were at the cabin and my mom and dad were working a lot, I had lots of time to practice sketching. Sometimes, I’d have them pick out one of the pictures for me to draw and then I would draw it for them. Here are some of the sketches that I did while up at the cabin.

Sketch of a Young Girl

Sketch of a Spanish Lady

Sketch of the Evil Queen

Sketch of a Break Dancer

Sketch of Penguins

Sketch of a Flamingo

Sketch of an Iguana
