Sweet Sixteen

Posted in Family

Somewhere along the way my baby grew up. It’s hard to believe that she’s now sixteen. Once she gets her hours in with her driving permit, she’ll be getting her license. She’s no longer a little girl, but she’ll always be my baby. Her birthday started off with her opening some cards and presents. New headphones, which were needed due to her old ones falling apart, where quickly tested out. A much wanted Star Wars Lego set was met with a huge grin of delight. Then we were off to Chick-fil-a for a late lunch as that was what the…

Fitness Friday: 21 Day Fix Week 1

Posted in Fitness

I decided that is was time to get back in shape. I’ve had too many rough months suffering with migraines that had kept me from doing very much. When we were able to get out and explore, I found myself fatigued all too quickly. I started off by doing some workout routines through the XBox 360, but I realized that if I was going to get in shape by May, I needed to have some sort of set routine. I wanted something a little different that didn’t take up a huge amount of time each day. After some research, I…

Special thanks to the publisher through Book Look Bloggers for providing a review copy of this book. This post may contain affiliate links. I first heard about twin brothers David and Jason Benham when HGTV cancelled their new series before it was even aired. I was impressed with how they handled all of the craziness that followed the process. Their love of Christ, and their Christian values were quite evident in the words and actions. Whatever the Cost chronicles the lives of David and Jason from a young age to present day. It’s written in a fun, casual manner than…

The health foods stores talked about this nutrient dense food that had over 90 nutrients, 46 antioxidants, and loads of minerals. It’s a concentrated superfood  that is both alkalizing and energizing, and it’s abundant in vitamins, minerals, and complex amino acids. People used it to help restore imbalances in their system and increase overall well-being. The Organic India brand of Moringa products are USDA certified organic, non-gmo project verified, Kosher and Halal certified, gluten free,…

Nature Anatomy: The Curious Parts & Pieces of the Natural World

Posted in Reviews

Special thanks to Storey Publishing for providing a review copy of this book. Have you ever kept a nature journal? Made sketches of what you have viewed in your yard or on a hike? As a photographer, I tend to take pictures. It is my way of journaling. Munchkin, on the other hand, enjoys sketching and drawing. Sometimes she’ll take a picture, so she can sketch the image later. Other times, she’ll use a live object for her sketches. Whether sketching or taking pictures, the act of observation makes you slow down and enjoy the little things in life. Nature…
