It’s hard to believe that the baseball season is over. Today, the weather was absolutely beautiful, and our kids had the best game of the season. They played their best, and it really showed. Everyone on the team got a hit. They all were making great plays. They were cheering for each other. They gave a great effort, and it payed off. Very Hot Baseball Game

Today’s baseball game was very hot. The temps were over 100 degrees. Several of the players attended a lock-in on Friday night, so they came into the game with no sleep. That didn’t help the situation. In the end, the players (on both teams) were glad when the very hot game was over.

We woke to a warm, windy day. The trees were swaying to and fro. Dust devils swirled around. The sun’s heat baked the red dirt on the baseball field. This morning, Munchkin had her baseball team pictures. Since D is the coach, he normally gets a team picture. This time, they allowed the coach (if they had a child on the team) to get a “buddy shot” with their child instead of the team picture. We chose to go this route as we’ll already be getting a team picture for Munchkin. I was happy that they offered this option to him. Having Fun at the Ballgame

Munchkin had her second baseball game today. It was another warm, sunny day as we headed to the field. The idea was that I would just sit and watch the game. It didn’t play out that way. I ended up helping with the kids in the dugout, so I came home after the game and immediately elevated and iced my ankle. Munchkin’s team played well again this week.
