Because we live in an area where snow is not a regular occurrence, we can happily welcome an unexpected storm that dumps way more snow than projected. Living in the low desert of Arizona, we didn’t get any snow, and we missed seeing the cold, white stuff during the winter months. When we purchased the cabin last year, we thought that we might get to see some snow during our time there. Unfortunately, we always seemed to miss out on the snowfalls. We had a snow day today. Now, a snow day here doesn’t necessarily mean a lot of snow — in fact, they’ll close things down with the threat of snow (at times). Anyway, we had probably a couple of inches or so. Enough snow that munchkin had fun playing in it. Since we’re homeschooling, a snow day doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to do her school work.
