I haven’t been blogging much these days because D has been home from work, and we’re going through lots of adjustments here on the homefront. As you recall, we adopted Wiley from the humane society the weekend before Christmas. He’s been integrating into our family. As with any changes, there have been ups and downs, but he is definitely 100% a member of the family. He’s still learning to be comfortable with D in all areas of the house. Last week, we were struggling to get our footing under us as a sequence of events left us torn and broken. As a family, we were hurting, and we received an outpouring of love, encouragement, and prayers from many individuals both online and in person. The Lord used so many people to touch us, and there really is no way I can adequately express how much we appreciate it all. Last week, I really didn’t think we’d be hearing the true, pure laughter around our house any time soon. We continued to joke around and go about living our lives, but our hearts weren’t really into what we were doing. An under tone of sadness seemed to permeate the house and everything we did. A Forever Home for Christmas

While I wasn’t ready to introduce a new furry buddy to our home yet, both Daddy and Munchkin really wanted to have a new puppy in time for Christmas. They couldn’t handle not having a dog to love on; they needed a dog to fill the huge void left by the passing of our other pup. This past weekend we decided to go away for the weekend. Project 365 – #249 When you have newborns in the house (whether human or otherwise), visitors are never far behind. Munchkin and her friend are very much enjoying spending time with the babies. They still like to hide a good bit of the time, but if you just spend some time in their cage, they will apparently come out to play.
