Can you imagine angels coming and talking to you?  Can you imagine being a young, unwed woman who just found out that you are going to be giving birth to the prophesied Messiah?  Mary had probably heard about the Messiah’s coming all of her life, but never, even in her wildest dreams, could she have imagined that she would be the mother of the Messiah.  Even though she was, most likely, overwhelmed by the thought of giving birth as an unwed mother and being the mother of the Savior of her people, she gracefully accepted the Lord’s will for her…

O Holy Night is one of my favorite CHRISTmas songs. It doesn’t focus on CHRISTmas, but rather, it focuses on the awe and wonder of the Christ child being born.  Before the Messiah was born, there was much talk about when He would come and how He would come.  He was born simply, yet it did great things.
