Joshua Tree National Park – Petroglyph Barker Dam Loop Hike

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

When family comes to visit, we have to take them to Joshua Tree National Park to do a little exploring and hiking. We decided to make the first hike with J an easy one by heading over to Barker Dam. The Petroglyph Barker Dam Loop Hike is always enjoyable whether it’s winter hike or summer hike. It also gave us the opportunity to show her a couple of our climbing areas while hiking. Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

The Road Less Traveled In part one of 49 Palms Oasis Trail, I showed personal images from our journey as well as trail details. In part two, I’m sharing landscape photos from the hike. This trail reminded me of the poem by Robert Frost, so I thought I’d share the poem with the photos. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And…
