Celebrating 18th Birthday at Sea World

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

How is it possible that my baby girl is 18-years-old? Time passes so quickly. It seems like it was just yesterday that she was a little girl hoping to go see the dolphins and killer whales at Sea World. At least some things never change. M still loves Sea World and wanted to celebrate her 18th birthday at the park. She had such a great time last yeat at Sea World for her birthday, that she wanted to do it again. When we learned that M would have the day off from college classes on her birthday, we started to plan…

Birthday at Sea World

When I asked Munchkin what she wanted to do for her birthday, she told me that she really wanted to go to an aquarium. After further discussion based on availability and options, she decided that Sea World sounded like a fun excursion. It meant getting up early, but she didn’t mind getting up early on her birthday for this. Since we knew that our day would start early and that we’d be gone all day, we decided to do the cake and presents a day early. It was more relaxing that way. Plus, our meal plans for the next day…

Sweet Sixteen

Somewhere along the way my baby grew up. It’s hard to believe that she’s now sixteen. Once she gets her hours in with her driving permit, she’ll be getting her license. She’s no longer a little girl, but she’ll always be my baby. Her birthday started off with her opening some cards and presents. New headphones, which were needed due to her old ones falling apart, where quickly tested out. A much wanted Star Wars Lego set was met with a huge grin of delight. Then we were off to Chick-fil-a for a late lunch as that was what the…

My Baby Girl is 15

Where did all the time go? It’s hard to believe that my baby girl is already 15. Since she enjoys painting pottery, I thought it would be fun to start our day by heading over to a local art studio that we wanted to visit. Daddy was at work, so Munchkin and I had fun painting pottery together. We finished up shortly before I received a call from Daddy letting me know he was ready to meet up for lunch. We headed over to Joshua Tree National Park for a picnic lunch. Since it was such a beautiful day, we…

A Special Treat from My Daughter

Posted in Family, and Holidays

Munchkin wanted to do something special for my birthday. Normally, I make the cake/cupcakes/cheesecake/pie for birthdays either by myself or with a little assistance from Munchkin. This year, she decided that she wanted to do it all by herself. Other than asking a question here or there, she was able to make the gluten free marble cupcakes and homemade peanut butter buttercream frosting completely by herself. They were delicious, and Daddy said that he was quite lucky because he now had two girls in his life that could make him yummy cupcakes. 😉 Needless to say, Munchkin was quite pleased…
