Today, we received a very nice rain storm which means Munchkin needed to head outside to play. D met with the military “board” yesterday.  We are now cautiously optimistic about D’s future in the military.  We were given some hope that due to his rank and job that he’ll be able to continue being a Marine, and he could make it to retirement.  They were pleased to see how well he was doing already.  He has rough days especially when he does too much, but recovery is going well.  We still have a long road ahead, and things could change in an instant. We gave this whole situation to the Lord and trusted that He would provide…

Today was D’s first day back to work after his surgery.  Thanks to a long Thanksgiving weekend, it was only a half day of work.  He was pretty wiped and hurting by the time he came home, but overall things went pretty well.  We keep thinking back to the previous back surgery and find ourselves so grateful that it all went better this time around.  Last time he went back to work, I was receiving text messages from a concerned Marine saying that he really needed to go back to the doctor prior to coming back to work.  This time,…
