Around Thanksgiving, I ran across a homeschooling family that put out the old time radio shows on the internet for free. I subscribed and received a fun series called Cinnamon Bear. We listened to one episode each evening up until Christmas (unfortunately, we didn’t finish due to illness). We had a blast listening to this series, so I subscribed to Living Books For the Ears. Facing the Giants

Tonight, we finally were able to see the movie Facing the Giants. If you’re looking for a great, inspiring, God-centered, family-friendly movie, this is the movie for you and your family. It created some great comments and discussions with our daughter as we were watching it. I wish I could write a really good review, but this is one that you just really need to see. Tissues are definitely recommended.
The Nativity Story

On Sunday, a friend of ours invited us to attend their church for a special showing of the Nativity Story movie that is now playing in theaters. It was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend seeing this film if you have the opportunity. Our daughter loved it and can’t wait for it to come out on dvd so she can see it again. What a blessing. It also lead to several conversations about differences between the movie and scripture (though it was pretty accurate).
