Book Description:

Inspiring true stories of the courageous faith of 23 missionaries who boldly lived for God and not themselves.

With bold faith, obedience to God, and love for others, missionaries attempt great things for God. Great for God: Missionaries Who Changed the World shares the biographies of twenty three missionaries. Each chapter highlights the amazing truths of God’s power at work through the lives of those willing to live for the applause of heaven.

Their great accomplishments for God challenge believers to continue to “attempt great things for God. Expect great things from God,” as William Carey once stated. Author and Global Advance founder David Shibley offers Great for God to inspire every Christian, small group, and family devotion time. Teachers will find it a powerful supplement to world history and religious studies.

It only takes one courageous life in Christ to bring hope to millions! It could be yours.

My Thoughts:

I’ve always been interested in reading stories of the great missionaries of our nation. I think part of my fascination started due to having missionaries in my family. It’s not an easy life, and it definitely takes a special person with a calling from the Lord to go to some of these foreign lands. It takes a lot of sacrifice. It also takes a delicate balance of serving others and serving your family. I appreciated that Shibley pointed out that several of the men failed to find this balance and in turn failed their families. All too often these great missionaries are put on pedestals. This quote stood out to me: “The object of reading biography… is not imitation, but inspiration.” It’s very important that we remember this as we read.

Great for God highlights the lives of 18 missionaries that have gone to be with their Lord, their Savior. Each of these men and women have left behind a legacy to be remembered. I enjoyed the brief overviews at the beginning of each biography. The quotes were wonderful and poignant.

“I see tonight that in spiritual work, if nowhere else, the character of the worker decides the quality of the work…. No wonder so much work in the Kingdom today is shoddy — look at the moral character of the worker.” – Jim Elliot. Ouch! Yet, it’s so true. I found myself really reflecting on many of the quotes contained in the chapters, and definitely felt convicted on more that one occasion.

Overall, I enjoyed the collection of biographies contained in the book. Obviously, with only 23 biographies, this is only a sampling of some of the wonderful missionaries from days gone by. (He chose to only use missionaries who were no longer with us.)

by R. Kent Hughes & Carey Hughes

Book Description:

Point blank, this is a punchy, no-holds-barred book for young men. Laying out the challenge to be disciplined, godly, and sold-out for Jesus, the authors talk about purity in your thought-life, cultural pressure, and perseverance as a Christian. Let father and son Kent and Carey Hughes help you live a life of integrity and become the man God is calling you to be.

My Thoughts:

I need to preface this review with the following disclaimer. I don’t have a son, so my approach to this book was more from the viewpoint of a mom with a daughter who will one day be looking for a godly husband. My husband and I pray that the Lord will protect and guide the young man who will one day be our son-in-law. Many of the habits that are learned now will guide his actions in the future.

The 16 topics covered in this book include:

Discipline is Everything!

Discipline for Godliness

Discipline of Purity

Discipline of Friendship

Discipline of Mind, I: Refusal

Discipline of Mind, II: Filling

Discipline of Devotion

Discipline of Prayer

Discipline of Tongue

Discipline of Work

Discipline of Perseverance

Discipline of Church

Discipline of Giving

Discipline of Witness

Discipline of Ministry

Grace of Discipline

Each chapter addresses a specific area of discipline while continually tying the various disciplines together. The chapters conclude with Food for Thought questions and an application/response section where individuals can apply the concepts they learned from the chapter.

I like that this book doesn’t take a soft approach to tough issues. It addresses the issues head-on in a practical way. It encourages young men to start their prayer/devotional life on a smaller scale and work up to something bigger as a way to set themselves up for success rather than failure.

This is the type of book that I’d love for a future son-in-law to read. If the Biblical principles/guidance talked upon within the pages of the book were followed, he would be a godly man who would know the dangers and pitfalls of this world. It would equip him with tools to use to help him overcome temptations, to battle the evils of the world and the evils that come from within. We need more godly men in this world. We need leaders who follow Biblical principles in our homes, in our churches, in our workplaces… Embracing the Biblical truths at a young age will lay a strong foundation for the future.

About the Authors:

by Dr. Jason Lisle

Book Description:

Explore the night sky, identify stars, constellations, and even planets. Stargaze with a telescope, binoculars, or even your naked eye. Allow Dr. Jason Lisle, a research scientist with a masters and PhD in astrophysics, to guide you in examining the beauty of God’s Creation.

Lisle designed Stargazer’s Guide to the Night Sky for everyone from young students to amateur astronomers. In it you will:

Learn the best ways and optimal times to observe planets and stars

Discover how to choose the best telescope for you

Find 150 stunning, full-color star-charts and other easy to use illustrations for success

“How do phases of the moon work? When will the next solar eclipse take place? What is that bright star setting in the west? How do I find Saturn? What sorts of objects can be seen with binoculars?” These questions and many more are easily answered with the helpful tips and basic understanding of astronomy presented in this book.

Create or expand the hobby of stargazing; an outdoor, educational hobby to enjoy with friends or family. Regardless of your circumstances and the economy, you will always be able to marvel at the beauty of our night sky.

My Thoughts:

The Stargazer’s Guide to the Night Sky is an in-depth look into astronomy. It digs into not only celestial bodies and where they are located in the sky, but also into how the human eye works, what telescopes are best and why, how to track celestial bodies, and much, much more. I was seriously blown away by the depth of the information covered in this book. It will be a great resource for the casual observer to those serious about astronomy. It’s in-depth enough that you could create a homeschool curriculum around this book.

While there are many aspects of this book that are rather technical, it does give you a great deal of practical information. The charts and diagrams are numerous and helpful. The beautiful full-color images make you want to get out there and start gazing at the stars.

The book is broken down into 12 chapters:

Motions in the Sky – Basic

Motions in the Sky – Advanced

Understanding the Eye

Astronomy with the Unaided Eye

Celestial Events

Telescope Basics

Telescope Observing Sessions

The Moon and the Sun

The Planets

Star Classification and Telescope Viewing

Deep Sky Objects

Astrophotography

The book concludes with a brief message from Dr. Lisle where he explains that, unlike many of his other books, this is not an apologetics book. He is extremely passionate about astronomy, and this passion shines through in this book. It’s not always an easy read as there is a good bit of technical information included in each chapter, but it’s worth it to get a better understanding of the universe around us. As I previously stated, this really would make a wonderful core book for an astronomy class. If you want to add in some apologetics, you can add in Dr. Lisle’s other astronomy book, Taking Back Astronomy.

I admit that due to my photography hobby the chapter on astrophotography was one of my favorite chapters. It was fun to see a chapter like that included to round out the book. Overall, I enjoyed this book even when some of the information was more in-depth than I personally needed for my interest level.

by Dennis Bokovoy, John Hergenrather, Michael Oard, Tom Vail

Book Description:

This guide book uniquely celebrates the biblical history revealed within the landscapes of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Within 188 pages you will find travel tips, maps, details on the vast forests, grasslands, geysers, trails, flowers, hiking trails, wildlife and more, vibrantly portrayed in the hundreds of full color photos. Whether you are planning a visit to these parks or desire to study the majesty of God’s amazing creation, this book will give you an incredible perspective.

About the Authors:

Dennis Bokovoy followed his childhood interests in geology and fossils, earning his Master of Science degree in geology from Montana State University. His 30 years as an educator include 15 years as an Adjunct Professor of Geology. Dennis and his wife, Yvonne, live in Hood River, Oregon. He is part of a field team co-authoring road guides from a creation perspective including Yellowstone National Park and the John Day area of central Oregon. In addition, Bokovoy is a tour leader for Creation Encounter Ministries.

John Hergenrather was graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. Today he is Vice President of the Design Science Association, a Portland, Oregon-based creation science group. For 15 years he has been part of a creation geology research team which co-authored road guides from a creation perspective. John and his wife, Rhea, live in Hood River, Oregon. Besides researching and writing creation guidebooks to the National Parks, John conducts field trips through Creation Encounter Ministries.

Michael Oard earned his master’s degree in atmospheric science in 1973 from the University of Washington. He was a meteorologist with the National Weather Service beginning in 1973 and lead forecaster in Great Falls, Montana from 1981 to 2001.

Tom Vail took a vacation in 1980 that would prove to be a turning point in my life – a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. Two years later, I left the corporate world behind and became a career rafting guide, leading trips through the Grand Canyon ever since. I have also worked as a part-time guide for the Grand Canyon National Park Service, and am a past-elected member of the board of directors for Grand Canyon River Guides.

My time in the Canyon not only led to a career I love, but also brought about a spiritual change in my life. In 1994, Paula, a passenger on a trip shared Christ with me. A few months later, I received Christ as my Lord and Savior and Paula is now my wife. In 1997, the concept of Canyon Ministries was born and we ran our first Christ-centered rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. Since then, we have shared the Canyon from a Biblical perspective with hundreds of people. We have been selected by both Answers in Genesis and the Institute for Creation Research, as well as several other organizations, to provide charter services for their Grand Canyon tours and research trips.

My Thoughts:

Your Guide to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks is another wonderful guide book in the True North Series. We’ve been blessed to be able to use both of the other books in this series, Your Guide to the Grand Canyon and Your Guide to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, while at the actual parks. They were both excellent, well-written books that helped us get the most out of the parks. We look forward to using this latest guide at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in the future.

The hardback, spiral-bound guide is broken down into eleven main sections:

About This True North Guide

Perspective

How to See Yellowstone and Grand Teton

What Evidence Will You See?

Examine Yellowstone Carefully

Examine Grand Teton Carefully

Understanding the Parks

Geology

Fossils

Ecology

History

One of our favorite parts of the book are the sections on examining the parks carefully. It’s in this section that readers/visitors are taken on a stop-by-stop tour of the park. Readers are given suggestions on what to see based upon how many days they will be at the park(s). The introduction to the park also features a map of the park, but it does strongly suggest you make sure you pick up the most recent information at the parks. At each stop, readers can learn important information as well as look at the fold-out page which shows the various things to see a that particular stop in their tour. Each stop has a question for the reader to really help them dig deeper into what they are seeing/experiencing/reading.

The guide book is packed with information about the parks. It features beautiful full-color (when possible) images. (Some images are historical images, so they are in black and white.) The guide concludes with an additional resource list for further study as well as a glossary. The guide is written from a Biblical worldview, and it takes time to compare and contrast the Biblical worldview with the evolutionary world view. The side-by-side comparison helps readers to see the complete picture and make informed decisions.

I look forward to seeing what guide will be published next as we have thoroughly enjoyed this series.

by Casey Sabella

Book Description:

Near midnight, the heralded and huge White Star liner Titanic, her invincibility never before in question, is a tiny speck on a vast ocean. Four days out on a much-anticipated maiden voyage, the luxury vessel has been fatally grazed by an iceberg.

Labeled unsinkable by an adoring public, Titanic will plunge beneath the cold waters of the North Atlantic in under three hours.

In Titanic Warning, author Casey Sabella blends a vivid re-telling of the disaster with commentary on the state of the modern-day Church and the lack of commitment to discipling the masses. How did three ships in the vicinity, called upon to rescue the 2500 stranded souls, reflect real personalities in the modern age? Are we prideful like the Titanic? Are we indifferent to the cries of humanity, like the Californian, or do we launch a rescue like the Carpathia? Does the burden to help urge us to escape from it all, like the Samson?

The questions are personal, the answers, crucial. Will we heed the warning to put salvation before gleaming monuments? May God help us board the right ship!

About the Author:

Casey Sabella has served the body of Christ as a church planter becoming ordained in 1981. His passion is to help leaders and churches work together to reach non-Christians and train them to become effective in life and ministry. He and his wife Patricia have raised four children who by God’s grace each serve the Lord fervently in ministry. Casey is the author of When a Church Goes Bad, which helps Christians break free from the pain of spiritual abuse to regain their spiritual destinies. While serving as a senior pastor of a local church in Waterbury, CT, Casey makes himself available to speak at conferences and churches that need help navigating the challenges of church life.

My Thoughts:

I went into reading this book thinking that I’d really enjoy it, but there were several statements in the book which gave me real pause only not in a good way. Here are a couple of examples:

“While it may seem like a terrible thing to suggest at this point, could it be that God Himself sank the Titanic? When we examine the facts, no other conclusion seems possible:”

“Why would a loving God send 1,522 innocent men, women, and children to their deaths? How could a God of justice be so cruel? This appears to be a facet of God’s nature that we are terrified to consider.”

Later in the book, Casey implied that the Britannic (Titanic’s bigger, better successor) had be “cursed” by God because the owners of the shipping company were unrepentant and continued to repeat the sinning ways after the sinking of the Titanic. In other words, even though the ship was used for good at one point, because the shipping company did not see the error of their ways, God also sank the Britannic.

I guess part of my issue is that I don’t see events such as the sinking of the Titanic as prophetic. Can we learn lessons from all of the mistakes made? Absolutely. Can we compare the attitudes of those involved with what is taking place within the Christian community and churches? Sure. Yet, doesn’t mean that the events of the Titanic were prophetic. The reality is that we can take many tragedies and turn them into lessons if we really wanted to do so. We should always study the past, so we can try to learn from the mistakes of generations gone by and try to avoid some of the horrible results of sin in action.

Putting these issues aside, there were a lot of good reminders within the book about what we should and shouldn’t be doing as a church, as Christians. Casey’s careful breakdown of the tragic night were interesting and insightful. As we remember the 100th anniversary of the tragedy of the Titanic, it doesn’t hurt to take a deeper look into the events that lead up to the horrific loss of life. It’s always good to examine the short comings of those involved and use them for introspective reflection on our own lives. What would I have done? In that light, what will I do as a Christian to rescue the lost?

I received an electronic copy of this book to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. All opinions are my own.

What mom wouldn’t enjoy a nice massage for Mother’s Day (or any other time for that matter)? It’s not always possible (or preferrable) to head to a massage parlor for a little relaxation, so often a mom may need to look for an alternative. Wahl has designed a variety of massagers to meet the various needs of mothers. I was given the opportunity to test out the Wahl Deluxe Heat Therapy Massager which arrived right after we got back from a camping trip. The timing was perfect because I was feeling a bit achy – especially my feet which were not use to so much walking.

One of the first things that I noticed as I unpacked the massager was the nice storage case. Because the massager comes with 9 different attachments, the zippered storage case is definitely needed to keep all those pieces organized in one location. The 9 different attachments include:

A Triad: three-point massage covers a large area

Heat: penetrating heat soothes stiff, aching muscles

Facial: a smooth surface for a gentle massage to the face

Muscle Kneading: stimulates blood circulation

Scalp: acupressure points stimulate blood flow and massage the scalp

Knuckle & Joints: triangular shape to get into knuckles and joints

Deep Muscle: digs deep to reach those tight knots and helps relieve pain

Spot Application: pin-point massage

General Body: all-over soothing

After being out camping, hiking, and walking, the deep muscle attachment and well as the triad felt wonderful. After carrying in all of our gear, my hands were aching a bit, so I thought I’d try out the knuckle & joints attachment. Wow! I was surprised at how nice that felt. Daddy was laughing at Munchkin and I as we tested out the various attachments on our achy bodies. It was very relaxing.

The heat attachment is nice, but the one drawback for it is that you have to allow the massager to run for a few minutes before it heats up. Once it’s heated up, it is quite soothing on tired muscles.

The variable speed dial is easy to use with one hand. I love, love, love the lightweight design of the Deluxe Heat Therapy Messager. I have a larger massager which is quite powerful and great for deep massages, but it can be cumbersome to use when I am already fatigued and sore. This massager fits easily in my small hands and does not cause extra fatigue during use. The massager doesn’t skimp on power even though it’s small. Because I’ve been suffering from more headaches recently, this new, smaller massager has become my new best friend.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, Wahl has decided to host a Facebook Giveaway called the Mom Relief Initiative. The details are as follows:

Beginning April 26 and running through May 13, those who like Wahl Home on Facebook can nominate a mom to win a mom relief package from Wahl, whether it’s your mom, grandmother, wife, daughter, a friend or yourself.

To enter the Mom Relief Initiative, simply post a comment explaining why the mom on your list deserves relief—maybe they’re a single mom who does it all, a working mom who never takes a break, a grandmother who’s always been there…every mom has a story and every story matters.

Entries will be judged on their uniqueness and sincerity and the winners will be selected once the contest wraps up on May 13. Stories MUST be submitted before then in order to be considered.

Head on over and nominate a mom to win a Wahl mom relief package before the contest ends.

Behemoth
by Jonathan Leicht

Book Description:

Jim Thompson, chief game warden of the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya, has a major problem. Three of his prized elephants have been gored to death in the past month. The only clues left are mysterious tracks reportedly belong to a creature long thought extinct. Thompson suddenly finds himself on a tumultuous adventure as he travels across the African continent, hoping to convince himself and the world that he is on the verge of an incredible discovery.

He is not alone. On the other side of the world, Professor Stephen Gregory is embarking on an adventure of his own. Forced to resign over his unpopular scientific beliefs, this once-distinguished professor gets the chance of a lifetime when he is offered an expedition into the heart of Africa in search of a creature that could prove his theories true once and for all.

About the Author:

Munchkin’s Thoughts:

I thought that the book was spectacular, though when the story was jumping back and forth between the two story lines, it got a little confusing. Professor Gregory’s story was overwhelmed by Jim’s or Dan’s story, with the guerrillas, boat chases, guns, Saurapods, eggs, Congo, and Kara.

The characters were interesting. My favorite was Professor Stephan Gregory, the evolutionist turned faithful creationist and Christian. When the evolutionists destroyed the evidence, or tried to, I was not surprised, though that’s just me. I really liked that in the book dinosaurs are still living and breeding, but I’m one of those weird people that believe that dinosaurs are still around. At the end of the book, I was really excited when the dinosaur discoveries were made public; I was happily smiling. The whole time I was reading I was giddy with excitement, and when I was in the middle of the guerillas chasing Prof. Gregory and his party, my tablet died. I had to wait until the next day to finish it, but I couldn’t sleep as I was too excited! Though also at the end of the book, I thought that Jonathan Leicht used the word ‘meanwhile’ one too many times. But overall this book should go on the Best Seller List.

My Thoughts:

Behemoth is a fun, interesting read that many people will not like due to the creationists/evolutionists debate that takes place within the pages of the book. As you can see above, Munchkin thoroughly enjoyed the book as she has always thought that dinosaurs might still exist. It was interesting to learn that many of the creatures talked about in this book have been talked about in real life. While this book is fiction, it does beg the question… what if?

Within the main story, there are actually two different story lines. The only negative in this book is the fact that the reader is forced to jump back and forth between the two stories quite frequently which can cause a little confusion – especially if the reader is reading while tired. **grin** That being said, both stories were interesting and flowed fairly well. The characters did not feel forced although they could have been developed a little more.

All in all, this is a quick, entertaining read that might make you wonder what might be out there waiting to be discovered.

I received an electronic copy of this book to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. All opinions are my own.

See a need… Fill a need…

The Homeschool Spanish Academy was founded by Ron Fortin, a former U.S. Marine. While serving as a principal of a school in Guatamala, Ron envisioned a way to provide high quality Spanish instruction to homeschool students. In 2010, his vision came to life – Homeschool Spanish Academy.

Homeschool Spanish Academy is basically a high quality, online Spanish tutoring service. Students from elementary up to adult can meet with certified Spanish instructors online and learn to read, write, and speak Spanish. The one-on-one approach to Spanish instruction allows students to learn from where they are at and progress at their own pace. Each class is tailored specifically to each student’s learning needs.

The length of the class varies according to age/grade level as they have shorter instruction periods for younger students. Classes can be taken once or twice a week. One of the many things that I like about this Spanish program is the fact that students schedule their own classes. They can decide to have the same time/day slot every week, or they can vary it from week to week, class to class. There are several instructors available, so students have the opportunity to learn from one instructor or several different instructors. There is a great deal of flexibility built into the program.

Homeschool Spanish Academy offers a free trial Spanish class so you can see what the program is all about before making a commitment. Because this is an online class, you are going to need internet that can handle video communication via Skype. Class assignments are submitted via email.

Customized Classes: tailored to fit your child’s specific needs.

The process itself is very easy. First, you head over and schedule a class. On the day of the class (or sometime before the class actually begins), you will receive a call from tech support to make sure your computer is compatible with Skype. They’ll do a chat/video check to verify it. About 5 minutes or so prior to the start of the class, the instructor will contact you via Skype. You’ll need to add the instructor to your contact list. The class will then begin at the scheduled time. The instructor uses a variety of teaching methods including having the student read from the whiteboard displayed on the Skype screen. (Students may also read from their own copy instead of the whiteboard if desired.)

The first class is, for the most part, an assessment which gauges the student’s grasp of the Spanish language. Future classes will begin from that point. Prior to each subsequent class, the student receives the lessons for the day as well as the homework via email. Once the class is over, the student will complete the homework assignment and submit it via email. As you can see, the entire process is easy.

Flexibility: adjust the schedule to fit your needs

One of the things that I love about homeschooling is the ability to tailor learning to Munchkin’s needs and learning style. Homeschool Spanish Academy embraces this idea is seeks to provide a top of the line learning experience for each student. Munchkin liked the fact that she never felt rushed. Her instructor was patient and helped her work through pronunciation difficulties. When her nerves got the better of her, Munchkin’s instructor just walked her through the process step-by-step. She was able to walk away from the class with a positive attitude rather than feeling frustrated.

With a variety of instructors, we were able to find the instructor whose style fit well with Munchkin. We then chose to stick with that instructor rather than experiencing different instructors. We had a little glitch with one class, but the normal procedure is to allow you to reschedule (if desired) when your scheduled instructor is unavailable at the last minute rather than have a substitute instructor. While all instructors do offer a high quality learning experience, it’s possible that not all instructors will work well with your child. We experienced this when Munchkin had a substitute teacher for one class. The nice thing about this program is if this happens, you know that you just avoid scheduling with that instructor in the future.

Ron and the instructors at Homeschool Spanish Academy want each child, each family to have a wonderful learning experience. They want everyone to succeed which makes them work hard with you. We look forward to continuing to work with Ron and the instructors at the Homeschool Spanish Academy as Munchkin progresses in her learning of the Spanish language.

You can connect with Homeschool Spanish Academy on both Facebook and Twitter as well as on the Homeschool Spanish Academy website.

During my first review of Awesome Science: Explore the Grand Canyon with Noah Justice, I introduced you to 14-year-old Noah Justice the host of the Awesome Science video series. In the second video of this series, Noah takes us to Wyoming to visit America’s first national park, Yellowstone. Yellowstone is one of the national parks that is still on our “to visit” list.

In Exploring Yellowstone with Noah Justice, Noah continues with his educational yet entertaining presentation style as he compares the two different views of the Yellowstone. The video itself is a good quality production. Noah’s Dad, Kyle Justice, who produced the video has had his work featured on networks such as National Geographic and the Outdoor Channel. As a homeschool family, the Justices have gotten the whole family involved in the production of this series.

Most science videos have adults teaching the students, so it’s fun to see a quality nature/science video presented by a kid to kids. Even though the videos have been done in a kid-friendly format, people of all ages will enjoy the videos.

In this 30-minute video, Noah talks about how:

the evidence points toward the Geologic Column being created by the Global Flood

super volcanoes shaped the earth after the Global Flood

the evidence points toward the petrified forests in Yellowstone being formed in a few years, not millions of years.

Viewers are encouraged to continually check scripture to make sure that the information being presented is Biblical which is something that I really appreciated.

Each video has an available study guide which includes review exercises and a discussion guide for the various segments within the video. The study guides help viewers get the most out of the videos. The suggested bonus activities will allow viewers to dig deeper into the topics being presented.

When watching the video, you’ll want to make sure you check out the bloopers as they are rather amusing. Munchkin says it proves that Noah is just a regular kid.

I received a copy of the dvd and study guide to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. A positive review is not guaranteed, and all opinions are my own.

Let me introduce you to 14-year-old Noah Justice. Noah is the host of this new video series called Awesome Science. He’s going to take you on field trips to some incredible places like the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. These field trips will be presented from a Biblical (creation) worldview. Noah will be comparing the traditional evolution viewpoint found at most of these locations to the Biblical account of what happened.

Having been to the Grand Canyon a couple of times since moving to Az, we were interested in watching Exploring the Grand Canyon with Noah Justice. Noah is quite entertaining in his presentation of the two different views of the Grand Canyon. The video itself is a good quality production which isn’t surprising once we learned that the producer (Noah’s Dad, Kyle Justice) has had his work featured on networks such as National Geographic and the Outdoor Channel. Being that the Justices are a homeschool family, it’s no shock that the whole family is involved in these productions. It’s fun to see a quality nature/science video presented by a kid to kids. Even though it’s done in a kid-friendly format, people of all ages will enjoy the video.

In this 30-minute video, Noah talks about how:

the evidence points toward the Grand Canyon being formed in days, not millions of years

the Grand Canyons layers show evidence of being laid down in less than a year, not millions of years

the Biblical record can be trusted as a historical account of the earth.

Each video has an available study guide which includes review exercises for the various segments within the video. The study guides help viewers get the most out of the videos. Bonus activities are provided to allow the viewer to dig deeper into the topics being covered.
