A Furever Home for Christmas: Waynoka

Posted in Family

I’m happy to introduce Waynoka (graceful in Shawnee). At 9 weeks old, she’s a sweet and energetic shepherd/boxer mix who loves to cuddle. Thankfully, she’s young enough that the fact that this is her 3rd home doesn’t seem to have had any negative effects on her. M adopted Waynoka with plans for her becoming a therapy dog. It was nice to be able to give a rescue dog a furever home for Christmas. A new pup on the homestead has certainly created a bit of a stir with our other dogs. It will take a little time for her to be…

We’ve been striving to find the beauty in the many storms that keep hitting us one after another. Ironically, the weather around us seems to be mimicking life.…

A Season of Change

Posted in Family

Life has turned a bit upside down for the Marine Corps Nomads family as we entered into a huge season of change. From moving to the homestead to sending our girl off to college to being in 3 different locations as a family, this summer has been a true season of change. As we started with all of the changes, I couldn’t help but this of this scripture passage from Ecclesiastes 3: For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and…
