On Sunday, Daddy and Munchkin headed out to the grocery store to get much needed groceries. Our pantry, fridge, and freezer were looking rather bare. Not having the staples is no fun. I made up a list of all the things we needed (at least as many as I could remember) because my head view full post for An Early Anniversary Surprise  
One of the things that Munchkin wanted to do for her birthday was go to the zoo or the aquarium. To do this, we could either head over to the San Diego area or over to the Phoenix area. We wanted to take a long weekend trip instead of just heading over for the view full post for Cave Creek Regional Park Wildlife 
Our baby girl is 13. It’s hard to believe we’re parents to a teenager. Munchkin’s requested meals for her birthday from top to bottom all gluten free: homemade french toast sticks with fresh strawberries, turkey sandwich with apple slices, baked mac ‘n cheese with tomato salad, strawberry shortcake in the view full post for Happy 13th Birthday, Munchkin! 
Over the past year, we’ve had a great deal of uncertainty enter our lives. With D having 2 back surgeries, we didn’t know if he’d recover enough to continue his career in the Marine Corps. The truth is, we’re still not completely certain where we stand with that as he’s still on limited duty view full post for Accepting the Uncertainty of Military Life 
As Munchkin moves along in her education, I am finding that she enjoys more independent learning. While this is what we’ve been striving for during our journey, it comes with a different set of challenges. I find that I’m not as connected with the complete learning process, so I have to make a point view full post for Adding Online Schooling to Our Homeschool Day |
