Since Munchkin completed all 4 books in the Awana T&T curriculum, she will be working on the silver and gold sections in the Awana books this year. To make things a bit easier for her, I created a workbook for the gold sections in all 4 books. Whenever possible, I like to incorporate Munchkin’s studies in one [...] Last night, Munchkin had her Awana award ceremony. It’s hard to believe that the year is already over. The girls had so much fun each week. We were missing one of the girls in our little group. It was a bit sad that she wasn’t able to be there for the final week. Presenting Colors Saying [...] At 3:00 yesterday, Munchkin informs me that “tonight is 50s night at Awana, Mom!” Oh, okay… So, my mind begins to scramble and try to think what we can do for 50s night. I go check my stash of fabric to see what I have available. I decide to make a poodle skirt. I found some blue [...] We homeschool year around. That means that we can take time off when Daddy is home or when company comes. It means that we can take time to enjoy the rare desert rain. It means that we can take a break from our regular school routine when someone calls to tell that there is a reptile [...] Last Wednesday was Cowgirl/Cowboy Night at Awana. The kids had a blast. Everyone that dressed up got an extra chance to throw a whipped cream pie at the Awana Commander. That was quite the incentive for the kids. I am grateful for Munchkin’s great Awana leaders.
