Women Living WellWomen Living Well Book Description:

Women desire to live well. However, living well in this modern world is a challenge. The pace of life, along with the new front porch of social media, has changed the landscape of our lives. Women have been told for far too long that being on the go and accumulating more things will make their lives full. As a result, we grasp for the wrong things in life and come up empty.

God created us to walk with him; to know him and to be loved by him. He is our living well and when we drink from the water he continually provides, it will change us. Our marriages, our parenting, and our homemaking will be transformed.

My Thoughts:

If you are familiar with Courtney Joseph’s blog (and ministry), Women Living Well, you know that she has a passion for family, marriages, and the Lord. This book is a natural extension of her online and real life Titus 2 ministry.

The book itself is broken down into four sections relating to your personal relationship with Christ, your marriage, your kids, and your home. Courtney is quick to note that families, marriages, relationships are not “one-size-fits-all”, so what works for her won’t necessarily work for you. She’s giving you the tools needed to incorporate Biblical concepts into your life. Not everything covered in the book is directly talked about in the Bible (think social media), so she points to scripture to help you make personal decisions about how you should handle these areas.

I love that Courtney doesn’t take a holier than thou approach in her writing. In fact, she opens herself up and shares examples of difficult times and failures in her life. It feels like she’s a friend sitting down with you just talking about life thanks to her natural writing style. She has taken on the role of a Titus 2 mentor, and she’s not afraid to admit her weaknesses and struggles to encourage others that they are not alone in the rollercoaster of life.

Overall, I found this book to be both encouraging and convicting as I strive to be a better Christian, wife, mother, and homemaker.
