2018 Word of the Year: Hope

Hope – such a simple word. Yet hope is anything but simple. It’s a powerful word, powerful idea. Hope has the ability to provide purpose and light in an otherwise dismal situation. 2017 wasn’t an easy year for my family, and 2018 hasn’t started off much better. When darkness fell on the homestead, the skies were crystal clear. Stars were shining brightly above. The air was crisp and a bitter wind blew all around. Wiley: Knee Injury Recovery Without Surgery Part 1

The words that you don’t want to hear from your vet were spoken back in November. Your dog has a ccl (acl) tear in his right knee. I was in shock as I have never had a dog with a knee injury. Apparently, it’s becoming quite common for dogs of all sizes. The prognosis – expensive knee surgery. The vet went on to say that surgery was the only way that Wiley would heal. A Look Back at 2017

2017 was an interesting year for our family. Loads of ups and downs as we maneuvered a variety of changes, challenges, and milestones in our lives. As I took the time to look over many of the things that happened this year, I was, once again, reminded of the Lord’s presence in both the good and bad times.
