I recently received a sample of the Vita Best Nut Milk Bag to try out in exchange for a review of the product. Prior to receiving this nut milk bag, I had been using cheesecloth for straining milks. If you’ve even made nut milk, rice milk, or coconut milk, you know that usually there are solids that need to be strained from the milk after mixing it up in the blender. You also know that cheesecloth, while a wonderful tool, can be a bit of a mess to clean up after making the milk.
I was excited to try the Vita Best Nut Milk Bag because it looked like a better alternative to the cheesecloth. The Vita Best Nut Milk Bag is a generous 12″ X 10″ bag that is made of a durable material and has a nice drawstring feature. While the edges are serged, I did see that some of the stitching may come undone over time as one area is already starting to loosen up. The drawstring could use a toggle to help keep it closed, but it’s not a big deal.
I quickly learned that using this nut milk bag is much easier that using cheesecloth. Not only is it easier to use during the process, but it’s also much, much easier to clean up when the job is done.
While this is specified as a nut milk bag, you can also use it for coffee, juicing with a blender, yogurt, and more. It’s white, so if you use it with coffee or berries, you are, most likely, going to end up with a stained bag. If I were going to use it for coffee, I would probably want a bag just for that purpose as I’d hate my milk, yogurt, or juice to taste like coffee.
