On the second day of our vacation, we headed over to The Living Desert. They had a variety of new babies including a baby giraffe and a baby zebra.
We all enjoyed seeing the cute babies with their mamas.
The baby zebra decided to nurse while we were there.
This big horn sheep was sitting up on the hill watching over his girls. When we came back around a little later in the day, he had moved out of the sun and joined the girls in the shade.
We were pleasantly surprised that there was a lot of shade at The Living Desert. They did a beautiful job with their landscaping.
The petting zoo area had some fun features such as this giant bird nest chair.
The girls all enjoyed petting and grooming the goats. Several of the goats were with kid. One of the goats started to go into labor while we were there, so they eventually cleared the area.
We had a nice morning at The Living Desert.
