As I sit here in my rocking chair near the warmth of the glowing fire, I am feeling blessed. Last year, we were walking on plywood trying to keep warm without any insulation. This year, we have new floors and cozy rooms. It took hard work, but the reward is a lovely home where we can relax as a family. Between the archery and Munchkin’s knight costume, it’s probably no surprise that Munchkin likes the medieval time period. She’s always thought that sword fighting was rather cool, so when I saw high impact practice long swords on sale, I knew that I had the perfect Christmas present for Daddy and Daughter. It was hard keeping the secret from the two of them as I was really excited. 😉 I saved that present for last, and I’m glad that I did as the swords were a huge hit.
