My Birthday at the Homestead

Except for the sunset, these pictures were all taken prior to purchase of the cabin. The dogs were enjoying the cooler weather and the open spaces to run. Wiley quickly learned that if he listened and came when called that he didn’t have to be tied up or on a leash. His recall was wonderful. Wyatt, on the other hand, got so sidetracked by everything that he didn’t listen well. He found himself on leash a good bit of the time. Visiting the Homestead

Except for the sunset, these are all pictures from when we were at the house prior to purchase. On Monday, we waited on pins and needles to see if the mortgage company would release the funding so we could close escrow. We didn’t want to pack up the trailer with things for the cabin if we wouldn’t be heading up there until later in the week. Back in July, we went to look at a cabin in the woods that was for sale. You see, our dream was to one day own a log cabin on some property where we could homestead once D retired from the military.
