Our Thoughts:

The World of Animals is a full color, hard cover book packed with information and stunning photos. (Think DK/Usborne books but without evolution.) The front cover sports a holographic image of tiger which is pretty cool. We appreciate the fact that all information is presented from the Biblical creation viewpoint instead of from the evolutionary viewpoint. The book contains information on endangered species and their environments and crazy animal facts as well as the normal animal facts.

The World of Animals is broken down into 7 main sections:

  • Simple Animals
  • Worms, Snails, & Starfish
  • Insects & Other Arthropods
  • Fish
  • Amphibians & Reptiles
  • Birds
  • Mammals
Each of those sections is broken down into smaller subsections. The introduction is a brief overview of the animal world and animal design within God’s creation.
Just like the World of Science book, The World of Animals is a great resource book to have on hand. Munchkin just likes to read it, so both books are normally found in her room instead of on the bookshelf. If an educational book is being read on a regular basis, it’s a pretty good indicator that it’s a great book to have around.

I received a copy of this book from MasterBooks/New Leaf Publishing to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. A positive review is not guaranteed, and all opinions are my own.
