D met with the military “board” yesterday. We are now cautiously optimistic about D’s future in the military. We were given some hope that due to his rank and job that he’ll be able to continue being a Marine, and he could make it to retirement. They were pleased to see how well he was doing already. He has rough days especially when he does too much, but recovery is going well. We still have a long road ahead, and things could change in an instant.
We gave this whole situation to the Lord and trusted that He would provide for us no matter what the outcome. We still don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we are so thankful that things are going well thus far. I am grateful to see D feeling better. He’s been in so much pain for far to long, so to see him actually feeling better – well – it’s such a huge blessing.
