I never heard of VBS until I was married, but going to summer camp with a friend of mine was where I found Jesus, so I know the effect that ministry from others has on children! hugs and prayers!! Things were...hard. I went to a VBS in the first grade where I learned that Jesus loved me and would forgive me. We made a book mark with verses on it which I carried with me for years. That was the only spiritual food I received until my early 20s at which time I gave my life to Christ. VBS planted the seed of hope and love that carried me through the years of trial. Ultimately, when things were darkest, I ran to Jesus because that seed was already there. You are doing a great work for the Lord.
