Chia Goodness Review and Giveaway

Chocolate Chia Goodness

Chocolate Chia Goodness

I was given the opportunity to review the new Chocolate Chia Goodness.  I have to admit that I was not familiar with Chia Goodness, so I was looking forward to trying this product.

Chia Goodness contains completely raw ingredients. Chia is gluten-free, dairy-free, has five times the calcium of milk, and more Omega 3 than flaxseed or salmon. It’s an excellent, source of fiber, calcium and iron. Using raw organic cacao nibs and fair trade, organic cocoa powder, this breakfast cereal has only 3 grams of organic evaporated cane juice per serving. The cereal also contains dates and almonds for extra natural flavor and crunch. Chia Goodness is water soluble and will absorb any liquid, hot or cold.

One 12 oz package contains 11 servings and has a suggested retail value of $7.50. You can find Chia Goodness at Whole Foods, other natural retail stores, and online at Ruth Foods.  In addition to the new Chocolate Chia Goodness, Chia Goodness comes in three other delicious flavors: Chia Goodness Original, Cranberry Ginger, and Apple Almond Cinnamon

I first tried this with cold milk.  As directed on the package, I added 2 Tbsp of the Chia Goodness to 4 Tbsp of milk.  I let it sit for awhile.  I don’t believe I allowed it to sit quite long enough as it didn’t thicken up very much.  The next time, I decided to use warm milk, and it worked much better.   The Chia doesn’t have much flavor by itself, so the cacao nibs added a nice flavor.  I liked the texture of the Chia Goodness.  I think this would actually be great added to other baked goods, on top of other cereal, or on top of yogurt.  I like that this is a raw cereal, and it’s healthy.  Because I have a sweet tooth, it would take a little bit longer for me to get use to this.

Would you like to try Chocolate Chia Goodness for yourself?  Well, I’ve been given the opportunity to give away 1 package of Chia Goodness to 3 different winners!!
