Baking with Wilton Giveaway

Wilton LogoI grew up baking with Wilton products as that is what my mom always had for me to use.  I now have my mom’s Wilton cake pans and decorating tips along with ones that I’ve purchased myself.  Munchkin is growing up using Wilton products and will one day have her own Wilton set.  When I received the opportunity to try out some different Wilton baking/cooking products, I was thrilled.  Knowing that I cook and bake gluten free, I was sent the Cyclone wisk, the Pastry Blender, the Cake Lifter, and the Baker’s Blade.

Cake LifterThe Cake Lifter was by far my favorite item that I received.  It has become a go to item for so many of my baking needs.  Gluten free dough can be sticky.  I use this to keep the dough loose on whatever surface I am using.  I’ve used this for pizza dough, pie crust, pierogies, pasta dough, and many other doughs.  I can lift up the rolled dough and add more flour if necessary.  Ironically, I haven’t used it yet for actually lifting a cake.  This is a very versatile tool in my gluten free kitchen.  This stainless steel tool is dishwasher safe and very easy to clean.  It retails for $9.99 online.

The Baker’s Blade is a fun tool that allows you to chop, scoop, and measure all with one tool.  It has a ruler on the Baker's Bladeedge of the blade which enables you to make uniform cuts.  I liked this feature for making strips of dough.  The scrape and scope feature is great for adding veggies to dishes.  While I don’t use this tool as much as the Cake Lifter, it is a great tool to have around the kitchen.  The Baker’s Blade is stainless steel and dishwasher safe.  It retails online for $7.99.

Pastry BlenderThe Baker’s Pastry Blender is a familiar tool in most baker’s kitchen.  One of the unique features on this pastry blender is the clip that you can slide along the tines to clean the butter and dough out from between the tines.  You just swipe it from one side to the next.  I really like this easy clean feature.  The tines are also at varying widths to better break up the butter.  The comfort grip silicone handle makes using the pastry blender a bit easier on the hand of the user.  It retails online for $6.99.

The Cyclone Whisk is unique in that is has a mini silicone spiral whisk inside of the stainless steel tine whisk.  D used Cyclone Whiskthis whisk more than I did.  He said it added more air to the pancake batter.  The one drawback is that it was a bit more difficult to clean due to the being a whisk inside the whisk.  The whisk is dishwasher safe.  It retails online for $9.99.

Wilton has offered to send one of my readers a Wilton gift pack featuring the Cyclone Whisk, the Baker’s Pastry Blender, the Cake Lifter, and the Baker’s Blade.
