Foto Friday Challenge: Learning

This week, we headed to the library (at the last minute) to see a presentation on reptiles. The kids thought it was great that they actually got to touch the snakes, but they were bummed that they couldn’t touch the scorpions and tarantulas. I wasn’t able to snap a picture of Munchkin petting the snake due to how they did the line for the “snake petting”.

Learning by Watching

They had all of the kids sitting on the floor for the presentation.  The presentors did a great job keeping the program moving along while maintaining good interaction with the kids.  Munchkin was more than eager to answer questions about reptiles. lol!

Snake Class
The snake kept slithering down her arm and watching the kids.  The one kiddo kept creeping forward as he wanted to get as close to the snake as possible.
Learning about Snakes
The kids thought it was cool that the snake was squeezing his arm.  They used that to teach the kids to never, ever put a snake around their necks.
Learning with Awe

I don’t remember what was being said at this point, but Munchkin was really interested.  She had a great time with her friends learning about reptiles.

Sorry the snakes are so creepy.

Growing up, I was the one terrorizing little boys with creepy crawlies. lol! Needless to say, they don't bother me. Guess the child comes by her love of all animals (and creepy crawlies) honestly. ;)

I absolutely love that last shot! My kids love snakes so they would have been glued to what the woman was saying too. Great job!

These are all very good. What photo editing software do you use to color your photos?

These were all just done in photobucket. My photo editing software that I was using isn't compatible with Windows 7, so I'm saving for new software (and a good sale).

WHERE does she get her gorgeous eyes?!? That top photo is fabulous. I love her confident manner and her single finger hand raise! :-)

It is so fun when a library has cool programs like that. Our old library did that~not our new one. :-(
