My Thoughts:
The Christmas Kitchen is more than just a recipe or idea book. It’s about building wonderful memories for your friends and family at Christmas.  I loved all of the ideas for decorating on different budgets and hosting get-togethers. While the illustrations are beautiful, the pictures for the recipes are lacking.  I like food pictures, so this was a bit of a let down for me.

Just in case you are thinking that this is another one of “those” holiday books, I thought I should share the following statement from the book. “And I promise you, you don’t have to be June Cleaver or Martha Stewart – or even Tammy Maltby – to pull it off.”  While I would love to have a Martha Stewart type home at Christmas (or any time), I know that it’s not realistic for me.

Tammy wants you and your family to enjoy Christmas, the season of giving.  She wants to help families relax and enjoy this joyous season where we celebrate the birth of Jesus.  She invites you to turn your kitchen into “The Gathering Place for Making Memories.”

This review is part of the FIRSTWildCard tour.  I received a copy of The Christmas Kitchen for the purpose of this review.  No other compensation was received.  All opinions are my own.
