Studypod Review

Posted in Homeschooling, and Reviews

Studypod was developed by a former teacher (assisted with input from his students) to help students organize their workspace when doing homework and reading, helping to make homework more enjoyable and to get their work done faster.

Studypod isn’t just limited to students. Here are some examples of different uses for the Studypod:

  • portable music stand
  • portable art stand
  • book holder at the gym
  • recipe book holder

When I first saw the Studypod, I thought, “where was that when I was in school”. I could immediately see many uses for it in our home. I was thrilled when I found out that we would be given the opportunity to try it out.

As soon as the package arrived in the mail, Munchkin took it out of the box and set it up. It was really easy to set up and use. She tested out different books to see how they worked in it.

Munchkin using the Studypod with our HUGE dictionary while working on her vocabulary words. While the dictionary is actually too big for the Studypod, she was still able to use it to hold up the dictionary and hold open the pages.

I quickly found that it was very useful in the kitchen for holding open recipe books. In addition, I loved how easy it made it to work with Munchkin’s textbooks as I made various worksheets. No more trying to hold open pages with remotes. (Yes, I used remotes and whatever was handy to hold open book pages.)

I’m using it to hold open the Bible lesson while I read the scripture passages from the Bible.

D was bummed that he didn’t have this earlier this summer as it would have been really helpful as he was trying to type and read from his textbooks at the same time. The books would always be closing while he was trying to type/read. Studypod takes care of that problem.

The Studypod works with all sizes of books up to 2.25″ thick. It frees up desk space allowing you to actually use the desk space for writing or other activities. It helps ease neck strain. Inside of the Studypod, there is a spot to store your mp3 player, pencils, small notebook…

The Studypod is available in 3 different colors: black, pink, and blue. The Bookpod (same as Studypod, just a different name) comes in black, grey, and beige. (Munchkin has decided that she wants a pink Studypod; we received the black one to review.)

You can purchase one Studypod/Bookpod for $19.95. But, since you’ll probably want more than one of these in your home, they offer a multiple purchase discount. You can mix or match 2 or more Studypods/Bookpods for $16.95 each.

Studypod has generously offered my readers an additional discount. Just enter the code TOSBLOG5 to receive $5 off your order.
