Rejoicing

Posted in Military Life, and Thoughts

Today, after months of being on a roller coaster ride, we closed on our house. We are rejoicing and giving praise to the Lord for allowing us to no longer be homeowners. Yes, that does sound quite odd to say/write, but with this crazy market and the military move, we are grateful that we were able to sell our house fairly quickly.

Now that this burden has been lifted, we are able to start really enjoying our new location. I can focus on turning this house into a home.

This week, Munchkin has VBS (vacation Bible school) here on base. She is having a great time and looking forward to the rest of this week. After VBS today, we enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship with our neighbors. I was thankful for the opportunity to get to know them better and learn that we share similar values. Munchkin was just thrilled to be able to play with her friend. It’s been too hot to play outside, so this was a treat.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalm 100
